The Apple Tree Grows, Awesome Q4 Results, Outsells RIM

As Apple started in the State Of The Mac by Tim Cook during Apple’s latest media event, the company has been quick to point out their massive growth and which has increased 2 to 3 times the Industry. Apple’s quarter 4 conference call not only further cemented Apple’s growth but also proved the company can withstand economic downturns by shifting emphasis to the iPhone.

Quick Bit: MacBook Event Tuesday At 10:00 AM

Apple’s MacBook line has been long in the tooth with the whole family only receiving updates a little bit after Macworld 2008 concluded. While Apple focused wholeheartedly on their iPod event to, er, introduce more iPods, October was rumored to contain a MacBook oriented event and it has been confirmed. Apple sent out invitations to prominent members of the press and journalists for a 10 AM (PST time) meeting at their Cupertino headquarters. Rumor Whispers Point Towards September iPod/Mac Event

Some people look forward to Billy Idol concerts, Political conventions and Tupperware parties which are usually pre planned along with a seemingly infinite amount of anxiety tacked. Mac fans, Bloggers and the occasional market analyst don’t get the star treatment so much with only a few rumors to guide us in freeing up our “socially burdened” calendars to casually stroll into an Apple event. Belgium’s iPhone No Longer MIA, Just More Expensive And Globally Unlocked

 

Despite being one of the few launch countries, our friends in Belgium got shafted over when Mobistar pulled out on the iPhone 3G’s sell date of July 11th after they conveniently remembered the country’s corporate reaming law on phone exclusivity. After getting their shit together Mobistar attended a brief press conference to confirm that yes the iPhone 3G is coming, SIM unlocked but will rape your wallet harder than other foreign iPhones.
